Separating the Sharks from the Squids – Redsquid Pool Tournament

The Redsquid team have worked pretty hard this quarter, and so, in light of all our achievements, our employees were treated to an evening of pool and drinks at the Hurricane Room in Kings Cross. Not only was this a chance to celebrate our fantastic employees, but it was also a great opportunity for our newer staff members to get involved in some good old-fashioned team-building exercises.

With everyone split into pairs, Redsquid’s employees faced-off against one-another in a tournament of pool playing prowess; which required good communication as much as it required potting skill. Shots were fired (with both balls and plenty of banter), and there was, overall, quite a bit of misbehaviour going on between certain teams.

With every new duo eliminated, the tension built and the competition heated up, until eventually, there were only two pairs remaining. After a very close game (the teams were neck-and-neck at one point), our newest Telesales Executive; Siedah, potted the winning ball, leaving her and Scott (our Business Sales Manager) in 1^st place.

With the trophies handed out and the drinks raised, we got back onto the coach and headed home. The event really was a great way for the Redsquid team to kick back and relax for a while; helping everyone to unwind and get to know each other outside of the office.

Once again, congratulations to Siedah and Scott, and we look forward to organising more events like this in the near-future.
